the rojak post
hello everyone! long time since i last blogged (erm i seem to be repeating this sentence at the beginning of my entries over and over again :P) haha. alot of things happened last week and i shall blog all of them at once in this rojak post! haha
last week was our school's sabbaticals week.
on monday and tuesday i participated in the salsa dance module at john and josephine dance creative located somewhere near plaza singapura haha.
there were only 8 people in the whole school joining this module and me, shaohsien and songjun were the only males in the module haha.
the rest of the dance session involved alot of butt-shaking and hips-thrusting (expected) and lots of lifting (OPPS!) and dropping (OPPS!).
partnered monica initially for the sabbaticals performance but i could not lift nor drop her and she was saying "why is my partner smaller than me" and started laughing and the whole situation was hilarious. so the instructor told us to jump together and guessed what BOTH OF US FELL DOWN on the floor. yea, so we literally DROPPED.

we caught the salsa fever!
on wednesday, we headed back to school for a series of talks. the second talk on philosophy was super duper interesting, not because the talk itself was interesting, because miss jacqueline yeo was the coordinator and anything with her in it seems to be interesting ! (:
so we were getting rather noisy because the talk was some erm rather boring stuffs. and then i spotted miss yeo, who was sitting on the stage next to the speaker, sms-ing and hiding her handphone under the table. so i jokingly suggested that we should sms her to ask her to stop sms-ing.
and junjie really went on to sms her while i had fallen asleep!!!
according to him he sms-ed something like "miss yeo please stop sms-ing, WE ARE WATCHING YOU!"
after the talk ended, the usual scolding began for being so rowdy and miss yeo yelled "AND SOME IMPUDENT STUDENT CAN STILL SMS ME TO SOTP SMS-ING...I AM SMS-ING FOR HELP!!! THE SITUATION IS GETTING OUT OF HAND!!!"
it was a really hilarious situation, you should be there to understand it! :P
on thursday and friday i took part in the world percussion module.
it was so noisy and caused so much noise pollution lee yang got a terrible headache.
and she brought panadol the next day and popped down two pills before the course begun.
the module was rather laborious and boring because all we did was htting the drums with different rhythms until our hands turned red and pain!
but i go to try out the snare drum which i had always wanted to when i was in rv band but wasn't allowed too. and got to know big jeremy neutron brother better and of course fooling around with dorea, yeowlina and ziye (who also got an headache from all the drumming).
on saturday was the long awaited taekwondo competition!
i got eliminated in the first round of selection after i showed my basic patterns! was rather disappointed but became more determined to do better for next year, if we ever take part again that is :P !
because i got eliminated early, there was nothing to do for the whole day except for cheering and rotting and waiting for the plank destruciton segment in which i was involved in. i am suppose to lie down on the ground for my senior junxiang to jump over me. and the plank destruction segment got the gold award! YEAH!
during the long long long wait (practically the whole day) we spent the time taking photographs, playing scrabble, reading, sleeping, cheering occasionally and erm...rotting and decomposing.
me with shenyang, who got stung by a jellyfish while taking part in the kayaking module, so he left earlier to have some decent food that would help cure his wound! get well soon! (: anyway he was the last two standing for the individual white belt catergory in hc! congrats! (:

in the end hc takewondo got silver overall! was really happy and all and have to thank all my taekwondo seniors who trained especially hard and even got injured in the process to do the club proud!
it is 8.46 am now. yea happy holidays, now i can listen to perfect 10 98.7 fm everyday, especially to my favourite dj jamie yeo!
gonna get my breakfast now...and bye!

procrastination
hello i am back after a loooooong break. sorry for the short of post.
many things to blog about. (:
firstly, last thursday marked our last maths tutorial lesson with miss chong jialin (our senior who graduated last year), and i have to admit that i would seriously miss her alot. i feel that she is a super duper dedicated teacher and her teaching skills are comparable to those professional teachers, even though she was not trained as a teacher and all and had only been a student for all her life. she marked all our assignments and EVEN wrote notes beside those mistakes that we had commited! and she took the effort to buy and paste those encouragement stickers on EACH and EVERY assignment that we handed in. sounds very primary-school-style, but i thought it was extremely thoughtful of her to do that. so last friday, we bought a cake and had a simple farewell party with her...thought she almost cried or something...but luckily she didn't. ;) miss chong all the best for your future endeavours and thanks for dedicated the two terms of your precious time for us! (:
wanted to upload some pictures taken on that day...but my digital camera has got NO battery to power it at the moment. all my rechargeable batteries seem screwed! they remain super duper weak even thought i have already recharged them like a couple of times. it goes flat after only about 10 shots! i need NEW GP batteries!!!
went to singapore autism school this morning for this CIP project which we were suppose to paint wall murals all over the school. i thought it was a job well done by all of us because the whole school looks super cute and pretty after we had completed painting and drawing the walls! i would get ziye to send me the pictures to show how cute the wall murals were, because a picture says a thousand words and there is no point for me ranting on about how cute they were.
after that was touch dancenite and hwachong's MAD (Music And Dance) and it rocks! they showcased many genres of dances ranging from hip-hop, breakdance, ballet and...SALSA! michelle from my class was was really very flexible with her moces and my seniors from my senior class danced really superbly well! which leaves a really deep impression in me because next week is our sabbaticals week and guess what? i signed up for SALSA which i kinda regretted now after watching the superb performances by MAD! i would never be able to dance SALSA i realised...like SERIOUSLY!!! so i am prepared to die on monday...LOL.
oh and i got my class jersey today...looks kinda plain but pretty cool. haha. wanted to post a picture of it also but i have got no batteries!!!
if only there is solar powered digital camera...erm...

sludge
quick update!
haha had a disastrous maths test today in which i misinterpretated the first question and had no idea how to solve the second question (haha, yeah there were only two quesitons).
i realised i am getting worst in taekwondo...should train more but i am always very tired during taekwondo training sessions. not sure why...
ok, working on my new blog layout. haha it is nothing magnificient, but at least something refreshing :P. stay tuned! (:

Pay And Pay (PAP)
sigh...i just realised my blog seriously needs an extreme makeover, since i have been staring at this boring, ugly, disgusting layout for a grand total of 4 years!
i managed to successfully persuade miss jacqueline yeo, my GP teacher, not to let us write that boring, disgusting, grosteque essay today. instead my group gave a wonderfulpresentation seminar which lasted for the whole three periods. WHAT A GOOD TIME-WASTING TECHNIQUE! (:
our group was doing something on GENDER INEQUALITY and the guys in my class was like sitting at one corner of the class. they asked miss yeo something...and she said:
"I AM STRAIGHT OKAY. I LOVE MEN TOO."
didn't know why she said that. was so RANDOM!
anyway today after school went for extra physics lessons from mr ong. we were lagging so far behind for tutorials, possibly because of his super duper uber concise analysis of each question in each tutorial. supposed to have two shifts, but only FOUR stayed behind for the second shift haha.
after the relatively much efficient physics lessons, suppose to go for takewondo training. changed and got ready and all, and then realised that i forgot to bring my guards! so i went home instead since it was already almost 6pm.
went choa chu kang library to search for books for our GPP (Generally Pathetic Plans) and walked past MINITOONS.
they were hanging these mummy posters all over the shop and i later realised that they are actually selling VOODOO DOLLS.
are these gifts shop so desperate to differentiate themselves from the rest, that they have to resort to selling VOODOO DOLLS to attract attention?!?!
seriously, who would buy VOODOO DOLLS as gifts, since people usually have negative connotations associated with them.
imagine on your friend's birhtday...you said:
"hey i got you a VOODOO DOLL from minitoons! wishing you happy birthday with a voodoo doll!"
that sounds so wrong!
gosh i am quite broke now. been paying and paying and paying and paying for concert tickets, TYS-es and CCA stuffs.

billa-BONGED
hello everyone! sorry for the lack of post...was tired and all from piano, cca and work so did not have much time to update...but fret not i am back in action again! (:
today went to lot 1 after school to buy a cheapo shoe-bag together with christine, whom i met on the way home.
we went into a billabong shop in lot 1 and laughed our hearts out, because the stuffs there are not very nice and their quality is mediocre, but their prices are exorbitant.
billabong seriously requires MORE DESIGNERS. the only design that seems to prevail there is the "BILLABONG-WORD-STAMPED-FREELY-IN-GRAFFITI-STYLE" design, be it slipper, pencil case, shirts and even worst...EARRINGS. in my opinion that is super duper uncreative and ugly.
so we were laughing our heads off at this $9.90 pair of earrings that makes you look like a walking advertisement for billabong if you wear them. WHO WOULD WANT TO SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY ON THESE SMALL OVAL METALLIC SHAPED EARRINGS with a tiny winy billabong word stamped across with ABSOLUTELY no design???
to make matters worse they have included this $29.90 OVAL SHAPED METTALIC PENDANT with the SAME design (no design) necklace to make it a set...
erm...if you spend $29.80 in total and buy those billabong stuffs and wear them...you would look like this...
a TRULY free walking advertisement for billabong.
the bad news is that all the surfers products be it ROXY, OP and RIPCURL etc and even CONVERSE is adopting this "BRAND-NAME-STAMPED-IN-GRAFFITI-STYLE" design. STOP THE STAMPING!
haha, i ended up laughing non-stop at the design. the salesperson approached me and asked me if i required any assistance but christine said i ignored her because i was busily laughing and did not notice her. she must have thought i was mad. i left the shop after laughing so much LOL.
ok rather incoherent post, but never mind at least i updated! haha
